Meditation is a state of being, so when we PRACTICE meditation in this School of Yoga, we practice all previous limbs of yoga, plus
👉 Pratyahara: the 5th Limb of Yoga This involves shifting the flow of our awareness from the external to the internal, away from sensory objects towards the internal landscape.

👉 Dharana: the 6th Limb of Yoga
This is the binding of your mind to one place, idea or object; it is concentration without distraction.
👉 Dhyana: the 7th Limb of Yoga
This is the Meditative state of being; an uninterrupted flow of concentration where one can perceive their true nature
👉 Samadhi: the 8th Limb of Yoga
This is the state of Meditative absorption, where one is absorbed into the Universe; there is no separation.
All of this is very airy, very light. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.

We may get so caught up in our spirituality that we forget about our humanity.

As humans, our wellbeing is bound; when one is not okay, everyone is not okay.

We must do the work to understand our identities in this world and how they affect others, so that we can minimize the harm we cause others and therefore the harm that we cause ourselves.
